55. Tonight, Tonight.

Won't be just any night! Tonight there will be...

an awesome movie to watch! (Extra credit if you can tell me what musical that song came from! I will give you a hint: the song title is Tonight. Shocker, right?)

So my library has an awesome YA librarian, and so she does events for us a stuff. There are clubs too, I am in writers group and the sci-fi/fantasy book club. (We are reading the Hobbit and then a Wrinkle in Time.) Tonight is a foreign movie, and so we are watching Howl's Moving Castle. I am pretty excited! I think at least two of my friends are going to be there, so it is going to be funnnnn!

I have seen this movie once, (at those two friends' house!) and I enjoyed it. Interesting plot, great conflict, tad bit of romance, nice animation, and it was really just cute to watch. My friend also told me the director... who is pretty well known, I think, had two other movies. Kiki's Delivery Service is one of them, if I remember correctly. But I might be remembering incorrectly.

The movie might be playing in a different language with English subtitles. I think I heard that from somebody. I don't really mind, with subtitles (in your own language) you really catch more words then you would just listening. So I find more jokes, or things that I think are funny and no one else does, ect.

So one mention about my day before I wrap this up!

I read this recipe about how to make 5-minute chocolate cake in your microwave. Of course, I was delighted at this discovery, but wary at the same time. I looked at the comments from people who had made it, and even some pictures of what they got when they made the recipe, and they all looked great!

So I decided to make it this afternoon when I got home from school. Everything was going great till I realized I didn't have any unsweetened cocoa. So I substituted in some hot chocolate mix for that, and just put in less sugar then the recipe called for.

After that, everything was going great until I heard the garage door start to open! Oh no! That would be my dad coming home from work earlier then normal. He is the type of dad that would not approve of dessert as an afternoon snack, so I hurriedly put everything away and hoped he wouldn't notice something off in the kitchen.

He didn't notice, or say anything, and luckily he left within 10 minutes of arriving at home. So I brought out the hidden mug I was making this in, and continued away! Everything seemed to be going great, until I put it in the microwave for 3 minutes to cook.

Nothing really weird happened, but it did start to smell. As a blogger telling a story, I know I should describe that smell to you. But I can't! My guess is something like burnt rubber. But it was basically a bad smell that I haven't smelled before and can't find much adjectives to describe it.

So bummer, right? RIGHT! So I ate two snack sized kitkats and opened the door and put the screen out and hoped the smell would go away by the time one, or both, of my parents got home.

Question(s): Have you tried to make a recipe like this one, and failed? Also, have you seen Howl's Moving Castle? Remember the Directors name of it? And don't forget the "bonus" question about the title.
