95. So this post will be boring. But Ron was here! (Not really...)

Don't ask why my titles have involved Ron and Hagrid "being here." I just like those characters, so I am using them to make my posts sound cool. I wonder what they would say if they were here... "bloody hell!" Guess who would say that? Lovely British-curser... (Yes, I think Ron saying that is a bit cute. But I still don't like people that curse!)

So thing I am going to talk about un: making a Christmas present. I have been assigned a friend for a secret santa-ish thing, but the catch is it's only homemade gifts. I don't know how to sew or anything, so this is going to be quite difficult for me. The idea I have at the moment is to make one of those fleece blankets with the sides tied together. I think this is a good idea for a present because, well, who doesn't love blankets? Plus I can customize them for the person with favorite colors, ect. I am really excited to see if I can make an awesome blog! I have been watching tutorials on youtube, so I am totally prepared.

Thing I am going to talk about deux: I am at my friend's house right now, and we are planning for our Halloween party. Currently we are both on the computer, (yes, she has a ton of computers at her house, 5 total, if you include the laptop.) so we aren't planning that well at the moment. But things are going well, I think. Making a bunch of decorations if the overall plan, so wish us luck!!

Thing I am going to talk about troix:  I really want to go see the midnight showing of Harry Potter Part I.  I don't know if any of you reading this are huge HP fans like me, but the ones that aren't... ignore this I guess.  I am trying to get my friends to take me with them, (that don't go to my school), but they say I have school the next day.  Well listen up folks!!  You don't understand how important going to that midnight showing of the movie is.  It would make my YEAR!  My whole entire year!  It would be the best. The best!  And so I really, really want to go.  And you can bet I will be annoying about this till I get my way.  I try my hardest not to be annoying, but I want to see this movie (at midnight) so.very.badly.

Thing I am going to talk about quarte:  Well I am back home! Yes, this post was written in three parts. The first was on Thursday, the second was earlier today, and now I am finishing it up in the late evening!  That's just how it is I guess.  I don't have much else to say, but I will talk about one more thing!

You know how there are some things you are naturally good at?  I also believe there are some things that you are naturally bad at.  I know this might not come as a surprise to some of you, and you are probably thinking that this post is really boring, but I warned you!  So anyways, I think I am naturally bad at Super Smash Mario Brothers Brawl.  (Did I get the name right there? Probably not.)  I am either naturally bad, not trying hard enough, don't play it often enough, or just unlucky. Maybe the people I am playing against are too good at it too, that is probably a factor. So anyways, that stunk. I was killed so many times today playing that game, which is why I am writing this. Duh!

Well this post sucked. It really did. But I counted to four in French! I can't promise it was right though, I am just learning it this year and I am not the best on learning new languages. So even my cool little factor in this blog isn't that great. I am going to stop writing now though, before I bore you guys anymore.

(Last thing! Halloween is on the 31st! Reminder of the day.)

90. Hagrid was here! (I wish...)

Sorry that the last blog was short. I was at the public library, and the internet was going rather slowly. The main idea of the blog was the list anyways though, so I think that it wasn't lacking much.

So I saw this video recently. It was about a group of teenage girls that decided to not wear makeup every Tuesday, to support self-image, or something of the sort. I admire that they think girls shouldn't have to rely on makeup to look pretty, but really, I don't wear makeup every single day! So it seemed a bit... little to me. Also, one of the girls commented on how it was "scary" not to wear makeup, or something similar to that. That seems crazy to me! Your face hardly changes, so I didn't see how the difference could be so huge! I suppose some girls are obsessed with makeup. So overall I am glad that those girls are attempting to help other girls feel better about themselves. That's the main part, right?

Besides that video, I also watched a movie over the weekend. This movie was actually better then I was expecting, and I am hoping to own it someday! I made a connection in some of the lyrics in one of the songs to "feeling better about yourself" and things like that, so I thought I would post a couple of the lyrics here!

I present to you some lyrics from the Disney movie, The Princess and the Frog. The song is called, Dig a Little Deeper.

don't matter what you look like
don't matter what you wear
how many rings ya got on ya fingers
we don't care (no we don't care)
don't matter where you come from
don't even matter what'cha are

So as you can see, Disney songwriters know what they are talking about! It doesn't matter if you are beautiful or handsome, it doesn't matter if you have the most amazing clothing, it does not matter if you come from a mansion or an apartment, and it doesn't matter if you are a CEO or working as a waiter/ess. It's all about the type of person you are. If you are a good person, that's what really matters.

Well wasn't that just nice? I feel kinda like I am on a soap box right now, so I am going to step down and give you some very, very important directions before I leave you. It's very vital you do exactly as I say!! "Turn to page three hundred and sixty-four."

(Yep. I went there. Harry Potter style.)

80. An annoying blog (2)

  1. Procrastinating/Procrastinators- I am not always the best student when it comes to doing homework. Now don't get me wrong, I always finish the work with adequate answers, and don't get late work or 0's, ect. But I do have that feeling before I do homework of just putting off homework. My brain is telling me that I really need to study for that test today, and yet I don't because I just don't feel like it. How can I fall into myself like that? It just isn't right! I should study. But instead I am blogging!
  2. Authors that take forever to write books.- Does anyone remember the Eragon series? I do! And this series is the perfect example of this annoyance. That author takes years inbetween his books! I think Brisingr came out two years ago, and I haven't even heard anything about the fourth book. I hope it's going to be the final book because these waits suck! I think a year is the right amount of time to wait for a book. Or around that. I remember when the seventh Harry Potter book was out a year later then I had expected... I was so sad!
  3. Sick songs- No, I do not mean "sick" as in "awesome." I mean disgusting lyrics! I do not see why people would choose to write about sex. I personally don't want to hear about your feelings when you are at a strip club, thank you very much. And I don't want to hear about how you can make someones bedrock. These people are dirtying up my radio! How are these songs popular? At least some annoying pop/rap songs are interesting and original. These songs are just... no thanks! For your every own example, the song "Take it off" by Ke$ha. No, this isn't the worst song out there, but it's the song that I have been hearing the most recently, and been thinking "why the heck is this playing??" Here is an excerpt of some of the lyrics:
And they turn me on
when they take it off
when they take it off
everybody take if off.

also,

there's a place I know
if you're looking for a show.
Where they go hardcore
and there's glitter on the floor.

and finally,

loose your mind.
loose it now.
lose your clothes
in the crowd.
We're delirious
Tear it down
'til the sun comes back around.

I told you I would be in a complaining-ish mood on Monday! But on a happier note, here is the fact of the day! I didn't find a joke, but I thought this was slightly interesting:

Did you know you can't hum while plugging your nose?

75. It's just a Sunday blog.

I am just going to apologize in advance for this post. Really, I wanted to talk about something, but I just wasn't sure what to write about. So I am just going to write whatever comes to me, and hope it will be interesting for anyone to read.

Right now I am listening to the song, "Hey Molly" by Mike Lombardo. I actually spelled that name right too because I looked. So if you are looking for a song, you should check that one out. It's a really cute nerdy love song, so of course it's adorable! As Charlie and Alex. Yup, that's right.

Also today on youtube, I discovered the fiveawesomeguys. They are like the fiveawesomegirls, but male! They aren't doing it anymore, unlike the girls, sadly... but it's still interesting to watch! I am just not looking forward to to when I've watched all the videos and have no new ones!

So you can tell my day has mainly consisted of youtube, right? That's because I am avoided for studying for a test I have on Tuesday. I am not looking forward to that test, but I am not looking forward to studying for it either. So I am being a bad student.

Which doesn't really make a ton of sense since I am always calling myself a "nerd." I guess you can be a nerd in different things, right? I always thought I was pretty good in Language Arts, Literature, English (the class takes different names, so I was just listing them all) but I have never really liked math related stuff. But then I am in a math class a grade above my class, so that must mean I at least have some skill in it.

Both of my parents are engineers, but I never really plan to go into anything like that. I don't really know what I am going to go into though, so that worries me quite a bit. I always wanted to go into writing, but who even knows if I will be able to do that. Novelist, that's what I wanted to be, but now it sounds so intimidating and well, impossible.

Working for a magazine would be kind of interesting, I think. Or maybe even a teacher. I am not really sure. I always like to have a plan and know what to expect, so this drives me crazy!!!!! (<--- See how crazy? Lot's of "!!!!")

Enough of that worrying. Here is the joke of the day! And don't ask if I am going to have a joke per day. Yes, that would be great, but it's hard trying to find a good joke on the internet. They are all gross and mean, ect. I could always look on the laffy taffy wrappers for jokes though. Those are the best!

Knock Knock!
Who's there?
You know.
You know who?
That's right! Avada Kedavra!

70. Let's talk Youtube.

I think everyone out there pretty much knows what youtube is. I am sure my grandpa doesn't know, but he doesn't count. But if you are reading this, and you don't know what youtube is, just go to youtube.com! And be amazed. If you are wondering what to watch, which you should, then you should read on! Because not everything on youtube is amazing- or age appropriate. And if you are completely innocent, I don't want you to go to the dark side or something.

My youtube history? You are probably wondering about it, but there isn't much to tell, sadly. I have been going to youtube occasionally for a couple (meaning 2-ish) years now, but I only recently made an account. My account is just to subscribe, rate, comment, and make playlists. I don't upload videos, mainly because I don't know how to. Plus, I would love to vlog, but I'm not really comfortable with putting my face out to the internet, forever!

So yes, not much history on the site. However, that doesn't mean I am not a big fan! I have grown to love that place over a short amount of time. And so, here I am today, about to tell you about some of the people and things I like on youtube! I could go over my whole list of subscriptions, but it's kind of long, so I will just hit some highlights!

I've mentioned I tend to love all things Harry Potter, right? Well two of my favorite things on youtube, and in general, are a Very Potter Musical and a Very Potter Sequel. The jokes are hilarious, the songs are totally awesome (haha), and the people in them are just great. There are some downsides, like in everything. I am not a big fan of swearing, and there is swearing in these musicals. Especially Lupin in the sequel, so don't say I didn't warn you. In the first one, there are also some make out scenes (one extremely awkward to watch, but hilarious and weird, ect...) so not really the thing to watch with your parents or someone that will judge you! All together I love them! But I would not recommend them to young children.

Now, I have mentioned vlogging, and here are some of my favorite vloggers!

The 5AG, fiveawesomegirls. Basically they made a channel and each girl has a day where they make a vlog every week. (Monday- Kristiana, Tuesday- Lauren, Wednesday- Kayley, Thursday- Hayley, and Friday- Lianne) I like how you have something to look forward to every day of the school week, and it helps me forget my bad mood from school when I can come home and watch these girls! I don't want to pick favorites, but I will say I enjoy watching Hayley's personal channel. She's super funny!

Charlieissocoolike! Yay! I must say, I really do have a crush on Charlie. Or at least his accent and humor. And creativity! Anyways, if you are looking for funny in general, watch Charlie. He does these challenges, and he has attempted to drink ketchup, painted his body purple, dyed his hair red, ect. Basically he does stupid stuff! And it's funny.

Nerimon, or Alex Day. Alex is Charlie's friend, so he also has the awesome accent! Coincidentally (I believe) he is also funny and creative. I don't have much else to say, but he is equally as awesome as Charlie. I can't really pick a favorite, so subscribe to both!

Some other people I watch on youtube, but am not going to write paragraphs on because I am running out of adjectives to describe awesome people: AlexanderCarpender, owlssayhoot, thejoemoses, and Lukeconard.

Last, but not least, but not more awesome then the others, but that isn't me saying it isn't awesome is: music!!

I don't have a specific channel to tell you to subscribe to really for music. But you might be predicting what type of music I am going to talk about! So here it is: wrock! Yes, you might be rolling your eyes, but I am a Harry Potter fangirl. (Fangirl of the series, just to clarify, even though I also like Harry himself.) My favorite band, as you know, is the Ministry of Magic. They have some of their music on their channel, so check that out!

Basically, I use youtube to search for songs and artists. I made my first playlist of wrock the other day, and it's an awesome way to organize music and just listen to it while you are doing other things. (Like blogging!) I used to use playlist.com, but it doesn't have all the music I want, so youtube is really helpful in that way. Sometimes the quality isn't the best, which is the unfortunate part.

So now that you have read this, you should go check out all the stuff I talked about! If you already know and love it all, then I apoligize for not telling you anything new. As the "question" tell me what you think of the things I like on youtube, and what you like that I didn't mention!

65: An Annoying Blog! (1)

3 things that annoy me:

  1. People who say, "I love you," and don't really mean it. The expression is way overused nowadays, and I really believe that it's loosing some of it's meaning. Maybe not with certain people, like myself, who only say it when they mean it, but with the others that use it with every.single.friend. (and so on), I really think it doesn't mean much to them. The problem is it might mean more to the people they are saying it to, eventually leading to mislead people getting hurt.
  2. Those people that curse ALL THE TIME. I mean, stub your toe, and you might say an unpleasant word. Pain does that to a person I suppose. But the people that curse just to curse really bug me. Or the ones that use the words way to much. Who knows why, maybe it's just a habit, they could have been raised around that kind of language. (I never was.) Maybe they think it makes them cool, or tough, which really seems like a bad reason to dirty your language. I go to a public school, and so you can bet I hear all those swear words everywhere I go! It's really annoying. If I had a quarter for every bad word... well I could buy myself plenty of McDonald's smoothies!
  3. Political commercials. Call me a bad citizen, but I do not pay much attention to politics. So when I see these commercials about 'vote for me' and then 'don't vote for him, he is so horrible!' I guess the goal is to make yourself seem great, and the other people terrible. So how do you know who to believe, when you just have these commercials to go off of? Besides, I don't like them in general. Making people look  bad, trying to make yourself look great, ect. I prefer the swifer commercials to these!

As you can tell, that was a list of three things that annoy me! They aren't in any order, but I really felt like expressing my annoyance! Nothing really made me angry to post about these, but I felt like sharing them.

Some of you maybe have seen Hayley G Hoover's youtube account? So you know that she makes lists of annoyances. I was inspired her by in a way, but obviously I can't dress up and act out my annoyances in a blog form. Please don't say I am copying her about talking about annoyances though, I actually at one point thought of starting a blog titled 'an annoying blog' or something like that. (So that's going to be the title of this post I decided.)

I really want this to be a thing that is expected on routine, and plus I like complaining, so this is going to be a once a week thing! I know I am posting this on a Friday, but I think I am going to be posting the annoyances blog on Monday. Monday is my least favorite day, so I will probably be thinking of many annoyances on that day to post about!

PS. The blog title also has a (1) behind it. I think it will be more organized to count these posts! And if you see a number like that behind a title, it's probably me listing three things that annoy me! Exciting, right?

Question: What is one thing that annoys you?  Or you can be cool, and list three things like me! (Because I am very cool.)

60. The best kind of crushes.

Has everyone reading this had a crush before? Because it is going to be all about crushes! So read on, read on...

Personally, I believe crushes are a bit annoying at times. You like a person, but do they like you? It's all constantly about trying to coincidentally be near them, talk to them, ect. Your happiness relies on the fact that they might possibly like you! At least when you don't like anyone, sure you are alone, but you don't care! And when you are dating someone, there is that drama about fights and stuff, but you know they like you.

But the best kind of crushes (hence the title of this blog post) are the ones on fictional, or good as fictional, people! Good as fictional implying movie, TV, youtube stars, ect! Because they are either real, or never going to meet you and actually develope a crush on you. So guess what you guys get? A list!

I really fall for so many people! Characters, TV characters, the people who play those TV characters, guys on youtube, ect. So if you don't know some of the people I list, well then, go look them up! I think they are pretty darn cool, so there's a chance you will too.

Fictional Characters:
  • Ron Weasley- I always like the underdog, and while Ron isn't always the underdog, he isn't Harry Potter. I really like his character: awkward, emotional (which he shows as moody sometimes), jealous, and he is actually really nice when he wants to be. Sure he isn't always a doll to Hermione, but hello, he loves her!!
  • Harry Potter, because how could I not like him since the whole series my life is centered around is about him?
  • Michael Moscovitz- Spelling error? Anyways, he is in the Princess Diaries. Super fine looking, and super smart. Plus he puts up with Mia, so he could definitely put up with me!
  • Most of the Harry Potter male characters- Sorry, didn't want to list the rest of the names. But I will say, I like George more then Fred. Why, you ask? Because Fred is the more popular of the two. (No, I do not like George just because he is the one who doesn't die! This opinion was based before that happened.) Also, I love Hagrid! But not in an attracted sort of way. I want him to be my best adult friend, like he is to Harry. He is my favorite Harry Potter character, by the way.
  • Tancred Torsson- this one you might not know. He is from the Charlie Bone series!
  • Peeta and Gale- From the Hunger Games series, almost each others opposites in a way. I don't know if I could pick which one I like more out of the two. They are both really awesome! (Otherwise they wouldn't be on this list, but hey, I had to state the obvious.)
  • Jacob Black and Edward Cullen PAST TENSEish- I had to mention them, because like almost every other girl I have had a major crush on both at some point. I am not obsessed with Twilight anymore, but I still like it in general, so I sort of still like these characters. But not a ton.
  • Jace Wayland- I can't really help but like him. I also like Simon! Underdog, he is.
Television Characters:
  • CAPPIE!- From Greek. I really love this guy. I really do. I just love this character, and all his lines!
  • Damon Young- From Make It or Break It. I didn't like him to begin with, but then I really liked him. Somewhat an emotional wreck for a while there, how hot is that?
  • Kurt Hummel- From Glee. Too bad he doesn't really like girls that much. I'd settle to have him as my best friend though!
  • Chuck Bass- From Gossip Girl. Also, Dan. You can't watch that show and not like one of the guys!
  • Mondo- Currently on Project Runway. I really hope he wins/won. (Technically he already won/lost. But they haven't shown it yet! So fingers crossed.)
  • Stefan and Damon- From Vampire Diaries. No I won't choose!
  • Ricky- From Secret Life of the American Teenager. I don't really like the show anymore, but he is still kind of crush-able.
Youtube:
  • Darren Criss- Yes, I am a fangirl. I apologize. But he is "totally awesome."
  • A bunch of the characters/guys from AVMP/S. All of the characters were "totally awesome." (Well... secretly there is one character I disliked!)
  • Charlieissocoolike- I so like him. Cool.
  • Alex Day- Yay! So awkward and adorable.
Now, there is probably some name I missed. It might have been a really big, obvious miss, but I pretty much typed this and didn't double check it. So I apologize, and if I realize a name is missing as some point, I will add it in another blog post.

Well, I am going to post this now! Question: Who are you crushes in the categories I listed? No crushes from school, or people that you actually know. Those are no fun at all >.>!

55. Tonight, Tonight.

Won't be just any night! Tonight there will be...

an awesome movie to watch! (Extra credit if you can tell me what musical that song came from! I will give you a hint: the song title is Tonight. Shocker, right?)

So my library has an awesome YA librarian, and so she does events for us a stuff. There are clubs too, I am in writers group and the sci-fi/fantasy book club. (We are reading the Hobbit and then a Wrinkle in Time.) Tonight is a foreign movie, and so we are watching Howl's Moving Castle. I am pretty excited! I think at least two of my friends are going to be there, so it is going to be funnnnn!

I have seen this movie once, (at those two friends' house!) and I enjoyed it. Interesting plot, great conflict, tad bit of romance, nice animation, and it was really just cute to watch. My friend also told me the director... who is pretty well known, I think, had two other movies. Kiki's Delivery Service is one of them, if I remember correctly. But I might be remembering incorrectly.

The movie might be playing in a different language with English subtitles. I think I heard that from somebody. I don't really mind, with subtitles (in your own language) you really catch more words then you would just listening. So I find more jokes, or things that I think are funny and no one else does, ect.

So one mention about my day before I wrap this up!

I read this recipe about how to make 5-minute chocolate cake in your microwave. Of course, I was delighted at this discovery, but wary at the same time. I looked at the comments from people who had made it, and even some pictures of what they got when they made the recipe, and they all looked great!

So I decided to make it this afternoon when I got home from school. Everything was going great till I realized I didn't have any unsweetened cocoa. So I substituted in some hot chocolate mix for that, and just put in less sugar then the recipe called for.

After that, everything was going great until I heard the garage door start to open! Oh no! That would be my dad coming home from work earlier then normal. He is the type of dad that would not approve of dessert as an afternoon snack, so I hurriedly put everything away and hoped he wouldn't notice something off in the kitchen.

He didn't notice, or say anything, and luckily he left within 10 minutes of arriving at home. So I brought out the hidden mug I was making this in, and continued away! Everything seemed to be going great, until I put it in the microwave for 3 minutes to cook.

Nothing really weird happened, but it did start to smell. As a blogger telling a story, I know I should describe that smell to you. But I can't! My guess is something like burnt rubber. But it was basically a bad smell that I haven't smelled before and can't find much adjectives to describe it.

So bummer, right? RIGHT! So I ate two snack sized kitkats and opened the door and put the screen out and hoped the smell would go away by the time one, or both, of my parents got home.

Question(s): Have you tried to make a recipe like this one, and failed? Also, have you seen Howl's Moving Castle? Remember the Directors name of it? And don't forget the "bonus" question about the title.

50. The second post of 10/19/10!

Well isn't this exciting? A day with two blog posts! The truth is I have time and I am in the mood to write. So here goes!

This is sort of an 'about me' subject. Hopefully something not all of you know. Or fully understand I suppose.

While I love all things HP, and I enjoy reading fantasy, historical fiction, things with quality, ect... I do have a somewhat secret love of what I call "girly books." You know, the YA ones that center on romance? I almost never read them again, but I read them the first time, for some reason. Meg Cabot is my favorite author of such novels. The Princess Diaries series is actually a set of girly books I enjoy, and have read more then once.

This whole girly thing stretches to more then just books though. Yes, I watch girly television and read magazines. Gossip Girl? America's Next Top Model? Project Runway? Yes, yes, and yes. If you count the Vampire Diaries, then also yes! Don't even have me mention my subscription to Seventeen.

What is it about all these things that I like? I am thinking it's the romance, drama, and things that I don't do, but might want to. All that fashion and makeup really facinates me, but I never wear any makeup, and sweatshirts, t-shirts, and jeans make up my whole wardrobe. I've had a romance or two, but not of them have been like the ones in the books. They seem so much better. It's almost self-inclicting pain. I read those books even though I know I will be jealous of the characters. And drama-something I would never want in my life, but love to read and watch.

I am not sure "girly" is the word for all of this. But the girly movies are called Chick Flicks, so would "girly books, girly shows, girly magazines" be the right phrase(s)? Drama/romance books could work, but that couldn't apply to magazines really. Help me out with the right genre/phrase of this stuff?

Also, I need to add that I read things besides Harry Potter, girly books, and fantasy. I also read sad books. Jodi Picoult is my favorite author in this type of writing. She does drama, relationships, and sadness really well. I have read all of her books, and I must say I love some, and some are just okay. She has really grown as a writer, I believe, and I think reading all of her books shows that. My favorite book by her is Nineteen Minutes, which is really intriguing and slightly depressing. It really makes you ask a bunch of questions and shows the world isn't just black and white. Since it covers the topic of bullying, it really does raise all those questions and stuff. (Horrible sentence, but I wanted to say that it involved a story of bullying.)

I hope I haven't bored you with these topics, I thought they were slightly interesting. I would love to hear comments about what you read and watch, ect, and your opinions on what I read and watch, ect. I agree to disagree, but nothing negative please!

45. Emotional Cake!

So, it's time for me to paint you a picture folks! (This picture will be in words, the only art I can somewhat manage.)

You are eight years old, turning nine. Your birthday is like a magical day to you. Your relatives and the nice friends give you special attention, and everyone tells you happy birthday. Let's not forget the presents either, which are like berry treasure to a pirate, but you probably like them even more then the pirate likes his jewels.

But then, oh no!, something terrible happens. They is a mean, evil person that tries to steal away your awesome day! They want to help open your present? Well no, this is your time! They want to take a candle off the cake to lick the frosting off? No way!

So you start yelling at that person(s) and at first your mother, or teacher, or whoever, tells them to back off. It IS your birthday afterall. But then after too many times, they start to get mad at you. But it isn't your fault they are making you so emotional!

And so in the end, you are crying because you got yelled at on your birthday, and the other kids are crying because they were yelled at also.

Oh the joy of birthdays. The end.

Well, you might be able to guess that my sister had a birthday party yesterday. It was just family, but our other little sister was there, and let's just say she likes to harass people sometimes. Poking, mocking, annoying, ect. She can be sweet, but definitely not to me.

So the youngest sister was bugging the birthday girl, which really caused problems. In the end they were both crying, and the pictures probably had tear streaked, red, and angry faces.

Birthdays are supposed to be happy! Right? I can remember back to my birthdays when I was that age, and I probably threw fits also. Trying to think of the reasons, I can't really figure the gist of these emotional rages on birthdays. Is it because you want everything to be perfect, for you? Or you are so happy, that the negative things seem so huge to you and bring you down from that happiness?

I haven't thrown a fit at a birthday in awhile, so my guess is that they get better as your grow more mature. I don't say grow older, because matureness and age are very different things.

So my question is, do you remember seeing or throwing one of these fits at your, or someone else's birthday party?

40. Silly me!

You know, last year I wasn't that kind of student. You know, the one that leaves homework till the very last minute? Well, I swear I didn't mean to do... just that.... this weekend!

We had a long weekend, 4 whole days to finish my homework and have plenty of time for fun activities! (Football game, homecoming dance, and going over to my friend's house!) But I completely forgot all about my homework.

So here it is, the last day of the weekend, and I am doing homework! I have a ton too. So you will understand that this post is short.

I am just really mad at myself for forgetting homework so carelessly. Doing homework on the last day before it is due isn't the way to do homework. I get really stressed out, and don't do as well as I normally would have.

Well I am going to go work on homework now! So this might be the boring post of the day. (Have you noticed, I try to post a blog post once a day. For the most part it has been working out awesome!)

Question: What type of student are YOU?

35. Untitled

I used to name all of my stories "untitled" until I could think of a very creative, original title. (Righttttttt.) But that isn't the focus of this blog today! So moving on!

The story: I was shopping with my mom and grandma for my Halloween costume! We found the fabrics that will hopefully create a costume that I will love instantly and wear it till it's threadbare and I can convince her to make a new one. Or learn how to make one myself. If you want more details on the Halloween costume, go check out the blog post about it.

Anyways, my grandma left after that, and my mom and I continued on to find birthday presents for my little sister. She had many items on her B-Day list, and so it wasn't difficult to find ideas. We went to Target, a classic store, right? I was walking around the toy section, where most of her list resided, and I was surprised at all the items there were!

I am always amazed by all this technological progress in our world today, but has anybody seen the toys these people are thinking up?! It's crazy, and not really in a good way. Barbies used to be the thing everybody was all: what a bad image for little girls, thinking they will have to be blond and skinny and stuff... but now the dolls are worse!

I saw many different brands of dolls, but they were all very much the same. Big eyes surrounding by perfect eyelashes and mascara and eye shadow pasted on there face, with the look of surprise on their faces. I don't think they really looked realistic, or even pretty, and so I can't imagine a little girl wanting to look at that face while she plays!

I remember have Barbies, Polly Pockets, and Bratz. The latter were slightly hilarious, they had huge feet that came off, and you could change them just like their outfits. Looking back I can't really imagine how I thought that was cool.

But don't blame the doll makers! There are also other departments that I question. Like the board games! I don't know about you, but it takes me a little while to understand a board game, but once I do, I either love it or don't enjoy it really. My favorite board game of all time is Monopoly, though I rarely ever win.

The board games there were all very different then the games I own. I guess I haven't bought any recently, because I was caught off guard. They all have bright covers, pictures of people having fun, that kind of thing. There are so many different kinds of board games... new versions of old ones, trivia games, dating games, games for learning, and so many others.

The one thing that bugged me was the electronic board games! The whole point of a board game is a simple game that can entertain a group of people, right? So normally a board of cardboard, some cards, dice, playing pieces, ect. But these games had speakers and plastic and buttons to push! It doesn't seem right to me.

Other things I noticed that were different: The Disney dolls. I remember the princess dolls seeming beautiful to me, but what I saw was the doll problem I listed above. Also, a Belle had flowers on her dress, that when you pressed a button, the blossomed! There was also a Barbie that had a video camera inside of her. Can you say creepy?

Changing the subject, a bit!

While we were shopping for my sisters, I managed to get some items for me, myself, and I! Selfish? A bit. But we don't really go shopping much, and so I had to take the chance I could get. That's my excuse, so hopefully you will except it!

Item One: A Harry Potter calendar for 2011! It's exciting because it's the Deathly Hallows one, and so I got to see a bunch of pictures from the movie I haven't found on the Internet yet!

Item Two: The Clockwork Angel, by Cassandra Clare, prequel to the Mortal Instruments Series. I am at Chapter Five right now, and so far it's been interesting!! I am hoping it will turn out to be as great as the other three books.

Item Three: The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. I believe that is the correct name? I can't exactly remember. My mom and I were both interested in it, and it was in the small paperback form (romance novel style) and so she decided to buy it for us.

Sadly, the calendar and Clockwork Angel had to be bought by me, myself, and I. A total of 30 dollars! I am horrible at waiting for books to become paperbacks before buying them, which really would save me money. The calendar could have also gone on my Christmas list, but I was impulsively buying today I suppose.

Well, I will end this long blog now! I really ought to have separated the two topics, but oh well. Too late now =)

30. I discovered something TOTALLY AWESOME!

So you know I am being serious when I use CAPS.  Either someone is in a rage, or they are really, really serious when they use all CAPS. (Yes, when you say CAPS you have to use the CAPS button. It's correct grammar, even if my computer keyboard just says: caps lock. Whatever.)

So, I bet I have you guys all excited!! Well, my one follower, who is an awesometastic friend, already knows what I am talking about, because I told her earlier today. We are both really excited. But nervous, of course.

Here is is: NANOWRIMO! Nanowrimo, pronounced nan-o-wree-mo or nan-o-wry-mo. I choose to say the latter. I learned about it from a video Kristiana made. Don't know her? Italktosnakes, 5AG, The Parsemouths, All CAPS, any of that ring a bell? Dating Luke, from the Ministry of Magic! So yeah, if you don't know her by now... well go search her on youtube!

After learning about Nanowrimo from her, I also watched the song she wrote about it, and the video Hayley made. Hayleyghoover, 5AG. (Sorry if I spelled that wrong, I am just typing from my mind, not checking any of this. I'm a bad blogger!)

So if you don't know what this lovely thing is, then you should listen to me explain it! Basically, you must write 50,000 words in the month of November. 30 days, the last time I checked. So you are writing a novel, nanowrimo stands for National Novel Writing Month... (I believe), after all.

I've heard that it can be very stressful, but I am excited to meet the challenge. I have the standard problem of starting a novel and never finishing it, so I think this is just the thing I need to cure myself from that!

Nanowrimo.com, is the link. No, I didn't put any links in this blog. I could link to to Kristina, Hayley, and the website, but I didn't. Why? I am really tired right now, and so that makes me lazy. I am sorry! I am thinking about making a post of links that I have mentioned to far soon though. Maybe on Sunday! So look forward to that!

Oh, and something else to look up on youtube. The Joe and Jamie Show! It's on Joe Moses's channel, and I think it's going to be pretty funny. If you have ever watched The Potion Master's Corner, or Jaime in that bathroom skit she made up, I am thinking it is going to be really funny. I love those two people!

It's a bit sad actually, how I like/love sooooo many people on youtube. Should I make a list right now? No, I think that belongs for another day. But a simple preview: Darren Criss. What, am I a fangirl? No, pssssh.. maybe. Just a bit. :P

(Question: Are you going to do Nanowrimo? Or at least consider it? Look it up? Find some of the people I mentioned in here? Dislike me for not linking anything? Sorry again.)

25. My soon to be awesome Halloween costume!

Yes, you read the title correctly. This blog is going to be all about my Halloween costume!

So if you have read my other blog posts you know that I am a totally fangirl of Harry Potter. You must be thinking that I have dressed up as a Hogwarts student before. WRONG! I don't know why I haven't. Maybe because I haven't known how to make one, or because the only ones you can buy at the store are Harry or Hermione or Draco (if there is a wide selection) and they look really cheap.

Well this year I am going to be a Hufflepuff student. And it's going to be totally awesome!

The robes I found a pattern for online. The picture as an example looks just like the ones in the movie, and so I am really excited to see how mine turn out. My grandma is probably going to make them, and I know she is a good sewer, so that's good, but I am worried that she won't be able to follow the pattern I found. For some reason. But let's cross our fingers!

As for the patch/badge that will have the Hufflepuff crest on it, I found 2 different types I like at alivans.com. I know there are also some on ebay. The one worry I have about ordering online is that shipping will take awhile since it's Halloween season.

The tie! I am pretty excited to get the tie. I am probably just going to go look in a department store. They have racks of ties, and so I should be able to find a yellow or yellow/black one. The one challenge would be to match the colors of the robes to the tie. I am picky on shades of a color matching like that.

The shirt and skirt I am not so worried about. Black and knee length for the latter, and button up and white for the first. I don't think those are as important. I will probably have white knee socks also. The shoes will be black of course, I am probably just going to wear these really plain black flats I already own.

I don't have a special wand yet. I am hoping to go to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter this summer, and so I am sort of waiting to go to Olivander's there. There are also some cool wands in the wb (Warner Brothers) shop also. Wands can get kind of expensive, so I am just going to use a stick or drumstick, if I can find one, for Halloween.

Extras are always nice, so make it more me, so I am thinking about things to add. Suggestions would be nice! I was thinking of finding some neat-nerdish glasses, but everyone seems to be wearing the nerd type glasses nowadays. So that idea doesn't seem totally me. Also, how should I do my hair? I think braids would cute! Possibly.

I might just dress up as Luna though, in which case I would change to Ravenclaw, my tied favorite house. The wb shop has her glasses (can't spell the actual word) and so that would be super awesome! I have blonde hair, but it's darker and shorter then Luna's bleach blonde gorgeous hair. So I probably won't in the end. Might still get the glasses though, because they are awesome!

Instead of a question, I would like suggestions and comments on my costume! They would be much loved.

P.S. I have an idea for another blog post, but I am kind of waiting to post it when I have more then 1 follower. (To that person, you know who you are! Obviously. :P) It sort of requires some feedback, or opinion. All you nonexistent people can't do that! Go figure.

20. Television!

So I have really discussed TV yet! And so I find myself needing to mention this: I love TV!

Shows I am currently watching this fall: (Laugh at me because they are girly!)

  • Gossip Girl
  • Glee
  • America's Next Top Model
  • Project Runway
  • Vampire Diaries
And the shows I watch, that aren't on right now:
  • Make it or Break it
  • GREEK!!!!!
And more that I am probably forgetting. I apologize. I don't really watch any of those crime or medical shows. And occasional house. And the only news I watch is Enews. Sadly. I like learning about the lives of famous celebrities. Jesse cheated on Sandra?!

And let's not get started on house Angelina stole Brad from Jen. Poor Jen.. she's been single for how long now?

So I think I have managed a post without mentioning Harry Potter. -----oops.

I also forgot to answer the questions I asked. Geesh, how could I? Anways.. right well, I really like the Ministry of Magic as a wrock band. I think they really have loads of talent! But to all the other wrock bands out there, I still love you all! Moaning Mrytles, the Parselmouths, Remus Lupins, ect...

And, I believe that we need magic! It is the answer to everything! Karma is the second answer to everything.

And the question is: What is your favorite show, and what other shows should I watch?!

P.S. Sorry if this sucks, I sort of rushed it to finish before dinner!

15. Laundry Day and the pros and cons of Magic.

Well, today was one of those days. The days that you do laundry! Yayyyyyyyy! (Sarcasm, for those who couldn't tell.) I did a dark load, and a light load. I was going to wash my comforter, but hey, I discovered it can't fit in our washer! So that was interesting. And annoying.

It's at times like these we think of magic, and say to ourselves, "If only I could do magic. I could just have this comforter wash itself." Think Molly-Weasley-house-chores-style.

And so I will go on a rant about magic!

Pros of magic:
  • wouldn't have to spend as much money
  • more medical cures
  • less pollution (brooms instead of cars, lumos for light, ect)
  • short cut spells... so less chores!
  • magic is just awesome in general
  • more that I can't think of at the moment...

Yay!

But since I am thinking about all the good stuff about magic, we must also think about the downside. Think of Voldemort and the death eaters as your examples. While there is much good we could do, there's also the bad some people would do. I mean, imagine giving Hitler a wand! That is something we can all agree we don't need.

So the con:
  • There are extremely evil people out there that would use it against us!

So is it possible that not having magic could be a good thing sometimes? That is the difficult question!

10. In which I write bad Harry Potter Poetry.

Severus Snape
Severus Snape.
With that dark black cape.
Who could think you are good?
I mean, really, who would?
But you are!
Even to that boy with the lightening scar.
Lily Evans was your love.
Your patronus isn't a dove.
Because it has always been.
That's why Voldemort couldn't win.

(Explanation: If you didn't understand this poem, that makes sense, because it is kind of confusing. Basically, I tried to get the end words to rhyme! So that's exciting. Anyways, the confusing lines I saw would be: your patronus isn't a dove, because is has always been. That is a reference to how his patronus had been a doe all that time! And he was good to Harry (the boy with the lightening scar) because he was helping him out.. even if he was mean the whole time!)

WOEM
I have heard Wizard Rock (WROCK),
and thought "How hard could it be?"
You would think, it would be easy.
Two things I love: music, Harry Potter.
Add them together, and you get Wrock.
So why can't I write it?
Instead I find myself writing Woem.
Wizarding Poems!
Yes, I just invited that. I really did.
And this isn't much of a poem. At all.
But at least it's a woem! Kind of.

(I think this explains itself. Rambling and creation of WOEM. Not much else to stress.)

I am REALLY sorry you had to read those. But I felt like posting another post and I needed to have a topic to post about. So poetry and Harry Potter kind of merged, and look at what we got! Impressive? Not really. Some day when I am a famous author (see how good at being optimistic I am getting?) someone is probably going to blackmail me with these. And I just gave that someone the idea.

If people actually read those poems someday, then here is a note to you readers: these poems were for fun, and I am aware that they are not amazingly talented poem. I am not a poet, and I know it (giggle giggle) so don't yell at me! Thank you.

Also, before I post this to embarrass myself, I thought I would add that my day brightened a bit. My parents did get me food in the end! How nice of them. I love you parents. If you are reading this. Which I hope you aren't.

So yeah. You have just learned how much food influences my mood, dear readers. Good food = happiness.

5. What to post, when your day was horribly uninspiring?

Uninspiring.

Completely! Today was probably one of THE MOST BORING DAYS OF MY LIFE. No joke! I don't joke around in all CAPS. I mean... why would I?

So my day started off with cramps, and eating cereal for breakfast. Then watching youtube videos. Lovely, right? Not when they are the only thing you have to watch all day! All day! And the only things I had to eat at random intervals because I am a hungry person.. were a poptart, green apple, and fails at grilled cheese. Which I don't even like that much.

And the last boring thing about my day. My parents were out all day, and were going to have dinner at a restaurant. I asked them to bring me home some food. But oh, the phone died and they didn't get me any food. Great. So I had a fail grilled cheese.

And I am so bitter right now!

But I will try to be optimistic about my day. I can TRY.

I listened to Wrock a lot. Ministry of Magic. Any fans out there reading this? I highly doubt it. Correction. I don't doubt that they have fans. Because they are basically awesome, and anything awesome rightly has fans. What I doubt is there are fans reading this, since no one but me has read my posts yet. Anyways.

If anyone ends up reading this, then the question is: What is your favorite wrock band/song. The answer to the last question is: chocolate and peanut butter!

PS. I mentioned I watched a bunch of youtube today. If you are wondering what I watched, then I will tell you right now! I watched fiveawesomegirls, and also Hayley and Kayley's personal channels. I really love to watch Hayley's videos, she is so funny, with the dressing up and all. So yeah.

I am going to post this now. I promise the posts in the future will be much better then this one. Cause this one is just kind of depressing a little bit. Not the wrock part. But my day. So I am going to sleep soon, in a couple hours at least, and my tear up a bit and hope my day tomorrow will  be so much better. Hopefully. And I was sarcastic about the tear part. Maybe. That is for me to know. And you to not know. :D

Look, a smile. Maybe I should blog more often. But you guys would probably get bored of me too quickly. (Speaking to the plural that doesn't exist. Yet! Must be optimistic.)

(Also: last thing. I noticed I didn't title my last blog. So here is my first titled blog! Following my special theme numbering!

Saturday, October 9, 2010

Hello new blog! Yes, you are a new blog. And hello to the readers that might be reading this! Don't worry, I promise I won't talk like that to my blog anymore. Unless no one is reading this, in which case I might be forced to.

I have seen many blogs, but I haven't seen enough, because I am not quite sure what to do with MY blog yet. I have been inspired though, and so I am hoping that everything will work out just peachy.

My blog at the moment is quite bare, but once I post this it will be my first post! Don't you want to say when I am a famous blogger, and have tons of posts, that you were one of the first people to ever read my blog? Admit it, that would be kind of cool! ;)

So, anyways, you are probably wondering about this blog. You are thinking, what is this going to be about? The writer is semi-funny, but not hilarious. And so far her vocab isn't amazing, and she doesn't have awesome pictures to look out. So why should I stay? Well, I will tell you! In list form!

This Blog will be ABOUT:
  1. Harry Potter
  2. Music
  3. Youtube
  4. Things That Annoy Me
  5. Books
  6. People
  7. Life.

I just wrote that list on the spot. It wasn't prepared or anything! Isn't that slightly impressive? Aren't you looking forward to see another list from me? Because I can promise each post will have a list in it! I have decided that. Just now. So that's pretty exciting.

Also, have you seen the title of my blog? Things that end in 0 or 5. That comes from when I am reading, I like to end on pages that end in 0 or 5 so I can remember them. (I always loose my bookmarks.) So I am going to be numbering my posts in 5's. This post is technically 1, but I am labeling it 0. The next will be 5.

I am going to get around to posting this now. I think the next one will be a bit of an 'About Me.' How does that sound? It would be really cool if somebody commented on this and actually answered that question.. hmm.. brand new idea!

I will ask a question at the end of every post/blog/thing! So question #0 is: Peanut butter and chocolate or peanut butter and jelly?
I will answer the question in my next post! So stay tuned. (Dramatic cliff hanger.)
